A: You should wait until you have had your 6-8 week check and your GP has confirmed you are fit to commence an exercise regime. Please inform the trainer at the start of the session if there are exercises you have been advised to avoid.
A: Loose fitting, practical clothing is essential and footwear which offers adequate support must be worn at all times. A good sports bra is also recommended.
Q: Do I need to bring anything? A: It is a good idea to make sure you have several layers of clothing for yourself including waterproofs. Please bring your own water and snack for after the session and make sure you have everything needed to keep your baby warm, dry and safe from the elements (including sunblock and parasol in the better weather). As it is often muddy it is a good idea to bring an exercise / yoga mat for use during floor exercises however this is optional.
A: .We aim to run PUSH IT! come rain or shine, however in extreme weather conditions it may be necessarly to cancel a session. Advanced notice will be given ASAP.
Q: Are the trainers fully qualified?
A: Yes, Amanda is a REPs registered Level 3 Personal Trainer and has completed the Premier International Certificate in Exercise Prescription for Pre / Post Natal Clients. Amanda has a BSc Food & Nutrition so will be happy to share some nutritional tips with mummies during the class. Amanda also holds a valid First Aid Certificate which covers CPR in both adults and children / babies and is fully insured.
Q: What if my baby cries during the session? A: DONT WORRY, everyone has been in the same boat at some stage. If possible we will get on the move again so that the motion sends them back to sleep or if you need to take a break to deal with your little one please feel free - we wont go to far so you can catch up as soon as you're ready.
A: If you can it is helpful to know who is planning to attend but don't worry if you don't get chance, just turn up at the meeting point on the day.
Q: How many people attend each session?
A: We aim to take 8-10 people for each class so that it is not too crowded and everyone can get some 1:1 attention if required, if groups start to become to large we will run additional sessions.
Q: How do I claim my free personal training session? A: When you attend each week you will be asked to sign in, once you have attended ten consecutive sessions you will be eligible for your free personal training session, speak to Amanda to arrange this.
Q: Do you run private classes? A: Yes, private classes can be arranged for groups of friends e.g. NCT groups etc. Please call for more information.
